A New Day

From James, Kacey and Jaden...
Just wanted to give a brief update on Jaden. He had a real rough night with pain control, the doctors increased all pain meds and also put him on a continuous drip and he still could not get comfortable. He would rest maybe thirty mins in between each 1 hr med that could be pushed through his central line. He always woke up right around the time to give the next dose crying.
The Heart team just rounded on Jaden and they are gonna try to slowly wean him off the pain drips, also he gets to have his cath removed so we hope that will make him feel better. They are also gonna take his main arterial line and remove all pacemaker wires from his chest. Overall the doctors are pleased how the surgery went and so far there has been only one slight complication with Jadens central line placement, it's called venous congestion (his leg looks like it has had a small blood clot but they assured us that that's not the case, It's real blue but has gotten better through the night it's from where the had such a hard time getting the central line placed). They are gonna start to wean down his oxygen flow as well. They have scheduled his MRI for tomorrow morning.
We will keep you posted with more updates when we get them. Thanks for all your prayers for our family. We are so thankful the surgery is now behind us and we are on the other side. We love you! James, Kacey, & Jaden
