Sunday Singing

This past Sunday Jagger's pre-school choir sang during "big" church. They sang 3 little songs, and oh they were so sweet! He was not too excited about it, and I know exactly how he feels...I didn't like to do that either when I was little....so hopefully after a few times...we will feel better about it. He did such a good job!!!!
I love this sweet smile!!!
and then...Santa came for a visit...their little eyes just lit up! Priceless!!!!

Saturday and Sunday Snapshots...

This past weekend the kids were so silly....here are a few shots....
Jenna and her new sunglasses...it was sunny that day...but not inside:)
Jenna loves the laundry basket. Then she proceeded to tell me she was sleeping:) Then I turn around and she has stripped off her p.j.'s and just had her diaper and onsie on...
Then I turn around and she has gotten my socks out of the basket, put them on, and then put her shoes on...and mind I say...she had them on the right feet! So smart!!!!
She was so proud of herself and wore them around the house forever that afternoon.
Our kids love pancakes...so just about every Saturday morning that is what we eat.

Thanksgiving 2009

This year for Thanksgiving we were able to spend the day with both Jerry's family and then the kids and I loaded up with my mom and headed to Cadiz, KY to spend the evening and weekend with them! I was so excited...this was the first time that I have gotten to spend Thanksgiving with my mom's side of the family! I so hope we get to do this again....we had so much fun. There was so much good food that day and the kids got to end the day playing with their cousins!!! We have so much to be Thankful for!!!!
By the end of the night...this is how the den looked in the basement! Oh, but they had so much fun, and I wouldn't have had it any other way! Thanks Aunt Laura!!!
The boys had so much fun playing! Cousin Jonathon "played" checker with Jenna and Keegan...thanks cousin Jonathon!
The little girls played with the doll house and all of it's accessories. This was Jennifer's (Keegan's mom, my cousin) dollhouse when she was little....we played with it when we were little and now our little girls are!!!
Playing at the table with Grandpa.
Time to eat!

The Pavilion

Our church is adding a pavilion out back that will be a great picnic area and a storage area at one end for outside mowing equipment, etc... Dad and several others have been helping to build the pavilion and this weekend it was time to set the truss' since the concrete floor and wall posts were finished. Mom and I helped to cook lunch for them that day and the kids enjoyed watching the big crane work lifting the huge truss' up to the top of the rafters.

Birthday at work with Daddy!

Since Jerry had to work on Jagger's real birthday...we loaded up and went to have cake with daddy at work! Jagger thought it was pretty cool...we had birthday stuff several days in a row:)

Jagger's B'day Bash!

We had a huge Birthday Bash for Jagger back on November 13th even though his real birthday was on Sunday, November 15th. In years past we have always had his birthday day celebrations with family and close friends at our house. This year he wanted to invite his friends from church and school. So, we threw a huge Scooby Doo bash of a birthday party! And boy was it FUN??? It was a blast! I think I was just as excited about it as Jagger was... and I have to admit I probably went a bit overboard, but it was so much fun planning and I knew he would absolutely love it! I couldn't wait for him to see all we had planned. We talked about it a lot, but he had no idea how BIG it was going to be until we were decorating and when daddy was setting up the BIG bouncy house...the look on his face was priceless! We are blessed with a wonderful church that has a gym that allowed us to have enough room for everyone and everything.
It was a Scooby-Dooby-Doo of a time for a 5yr old Birthday!!!!
Biven, Baines and Jagger (best buds)
Eating with his friends.
Emily and Jagger (they are like brother and sister)
Gift Time!
Mmmmm.....cake and a marshmallow pop!

Jagger and cousin Justin (he loves to hang out with Justin) McKenzie and Jagger
Jenna ran off with the Scooby Doo mobile and decided to ride on it most o
Jenna and her little friend Abigail from school.
Pinata time!
(You know I really don't get it....if you think about it...you pick out your favorite character that you love so very much and then you beat it with a stick! Seriously???)
Mummy Time!!!
Jenna didn't like the slide which really surprised us!
Jagger of course loved it!
The night was over! So sad!
Time to go home:(
Earlier in the week Uncle James and Aunt Kacey brought over Jagger's gift. It was a neat hot wheels race track that the cars end up in water and change colors...Jagger loved it! Thank you!
Jagger and Jerry got matching UofL shirst for their b'day as well.
It was a wonderful Birthday night and one that I hope Jagger always remembers!
Happy 5th Birthday Jagger!!! We love you so very much!!!

With Many Thanks!

From James, Kacey and Jaden...
We are very thankful and so blessed that the Lord has carried us through yet another mighty storm and now we are on the other side of this. Just trusting in him for a full recovery without any complications and that this is and will be the last surgery ever....As Thanksgiving draws near, James and I were praying so hard we would be home for this great Holiday and it's just only 4 days after his surgery we got to come home...Praise the Lord..We are clinging to this verse In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you I Thessalonians 5:18

Going Home!

From James, Kacey and Jaden...
Jaden's Neuro Surgeon came in last night (Monday night) and said that we needed to bring Jaden home to recover since he hadn't had anymore IV morphine. Urine, sats, heart rate, and blood pressure was all stable. The risk of him catching something on top of this major brain surgery would be life threatening. He is extremely weak but we are home. PRAISE THE LORD!!! We go back the day before Thanksgiving to have all of his stitches removed... Jaden slept pretty good through the night (Monday night) and is acting more and more like his self. He is Still so weak. He can only stand to be out of bed about 15 minutes. We thank everyone so much for all their daily prayers and especially through this last surgery.
