Finally.... a Lake Trip.....

When Jerry and I first got together we would take his dad's boat to the lake regularly. It was something we so enjoyed in the summertime. However once Jagger came along....we didn't go hardly at all, then Jerry got sick and we did not go at all, and then Jenna came along and so the story goes we never got to the lake. So needless to say it's been at least 3.5 years since we have taken the boat out. We had some friends camping at Green River so it worked out perfect to spend some time with them and it helped to easy Jagger's nerves seeing Emily and Brittany loving being out on the water, and that it was all okay.

The time finally came when we were able to go this past Sunday. But wouldn't you know the temperature was only in the low 70's, but the sun was out. Once we hit the water...the sun disappeared! Just our luck, but it was a perfect time to get the kids out on the boat for the first time since there was not a lot of boat traffice, and get them acquanted with everything. Jagger was insistent on not getting on the boat, but that quickly changed once he realized everyone else was going. Jenna loved it, she jumped right into the water when everyone decided to take a dip. She jumped right to Jerry. We had to nudge Jagger into the water...he said it was too big! Once he realized the jacket would keep him afloat like everyone else...he was cool w/it. It wore both kids out! Jenna fell asleep before we got back to the dock to load up and Jagger was out before we were out of Campbellsville. Jagger is now asking every day when we get to go back....so I think the lake was a hit!!! Jenna wants to know where the boat went every day....so, I guess she agrees! Hopefully we will be back soon!
