Big Church

Just a few things about this Sunday I want to remember and for us to smile about when Jagger is older. Well, this past Sunday, 11-9-08, was Jagger's first Sunday in big church. He's been a few times before for shorter services, but now that he is going to be four years old...it's time he graduates to big church. So, Sunday we had the church activity bag packed w/all sorts of quiet goodies to keep out perfect, well behaved child entertained. I was praying it would all go well, and not be the ones everyone is staring at when our child acts out during church:) Right before the sermon starts the children are excused to attend children's church, but this time Jagger stayed w/me. He did really well during the morning service, and my prayer was answered. We just need to work on using the quiet whispering voice all of the time during church. My prayer was answered, and thought to myself, "this wasn't going to be so bad." However, the evening service was a different story. It started off okay, but we eventually had to leave the service early. He by no means was using his quiet voice by the middle of the service, and was not behaving well at all. We were the ones everyone was staring at...so time to leave, exit right:) I know that soon he will learn the proper church behavior, and that this day will all be a distant memory we can laugh about.
