The Kentucky State Fair

This was the first year for the kids to visit the Kentucky State Fair in Louisville. Mom and I headed out early Wednesday morning, we had beautiful weather, and the car loaded up. Jagger was so excited about seeing the animal exhibits.

As we walked up the parking lot we could smell the wonderful food cooking up in all of the food booths. The corn dogs, elephant ears, barbecue, cotton candy smelled so delicious we couldn't wait for lunch time... what would we eat???

Of course we had to hit the animal exhibits first. Jenna was so amazed by all of the activity she was well entertained. We saw sheep being sheared, cows, horses, pigs, rabbits, and goats. But Jagger's favorite animals to see where the pigs, chickens, and geese. He thought all of the noises they made were pretty cool. He was even trying to mimic their sounds:)

It was finally time for lunch, and oh was it good!

There was a safety town set up by the state police where the kids could ride around the "town", and the troopers taught them about bike safety, traffic lights, stop signs, and pedestrians. Jagger had a lot of fun with it, and learned a lot. Oh, and as you see in the picture of them, Jenna sitting in the car, and Jagger outside of the car... well Jagger would not get in it but just for a moment. Jenna sat in it and "drove with the steering wheel," and loved every minute of it! She didn't want to get out!

Then of course before leaving, we had to go back by all of the animals, and tell them goodbye. We would see them next year!

We had a wonderful day at the fair! Before we made it out of Louisville, both Jenna and Jagger were fast asleep.
